3/3/2016 0 Comments Kirby Academy today!Today I shall be visiting Kirby Academy and play story games for an hour or so with years 5 & 6.
There should be around 50 children and my aim on this one is to give them an easy structure in which to begin a story using just one or two lines in each section. This is one of the easiest ways to begin building a story. We shall also be playing the 'Experts panel' game where volunteers become judges to the answers the audience shout out. This game uses the plot of Harry Potter to identify the 10 stages of 'The Story Journey' It should be a blast!

AuthorMy aim in these workshops is to make it easier for children to understand how to write a story. So D J Cattrell is not just about books but about giving kids practical easy structures to understand all aspects of stories and how important they are in life from newspaper articles to Greek Myths around television programmes and over the hill of history. Stories are what we are, how we remember our world and how we make sense of it. Wednesday 17th August 2016Archives
