Jason offers a wide range of school workshops and author visits, as well as the amazingly popular Story Gift Scheme where he teaches Year Nine and Year Six students how to read with classes of Year One and Two pupils  –
passing on the 'gift' of storytelling.

You can find details of Jason's most popular workshops below, or you can contact him to talk about bespoke requirements.
You can also receive a totally free story workshop lesson plan by signing up to Jason's Schools' Newsletter below.

Workshops & Author Visits

Every workshop is bespoke and I like to find out what kind of format and content works best for you and your pupils, so I offer a free half-hour consultation where we can discuss how you would like your session to go. I want all of my workshops to be of top-value to your school, so I work with you every step of the way to make sure that what I'm planning fits the learning and curriculum goals you're trying to boost.

A whole-day visit is just £295 and I sometimes offer half-day visits if requested.

The Story Gift Scheme

The Story Gift Scheme has been a roaring success in the schools that have trialled it. By collaborating with primary and secondary schools, this scheme teaches older pupils how to read to groups of younger students, thus imparting:

A shared love of reading.

Key public speaking skills and confidence building.

A culture of collaborative learning.

A system that can be replicated by the school for many years to come.

Story Gift Scheme packages include staff training, student training, a plan for taking the scheme further, and help organising sessions with nearby schools.

Testimonials

Waldingfield Primary School

The Year 6 classroom have included your book in their reading spine, which is a fabulous addition!
Thanks again for coming in and I hope you have further success in the future.

East Bergholt Primary School

The younger children are always excited to meet the older students and listen to them with enthusiasm and awe!
Having older 'Role models' (Yr 9's) read to them (Yr's 1 & 2) has encouraged our reluctant readers and will hopefully encourage them to be readers for life.

Suffolk Primary School

There is a magic that becomes very evident when a 'Trained' Year 9 or Year 6 student sits down to read stories to years 1 & 2 and it is a wonder to watch!
